Garrett → Committee Meeting

 

Kush and Sarah → Committee Meeting

→ Can we get the college committees to report to us once monthly? Would that be a problem?

 

Let's talk about the WARC Budget

 

Grace

 

→ Budget was originally $3000

 

→ They decided to have this Jubilee, so they requested for all of these different bands, which was 

 

another $5000

 

→ Which we approved. At this point, no big deal, whatever.

 

→ Then they decided to buy $2000 worth of tshirts (390) from their budget, and Grace asked them, and 

 

Grace didn't know

 

→ The request on Tuesday was $2000 to go to something in New York

 

→ $8500 new transmitter (which, admittedly, they need)

 

→ $1500 request to rent speakers

 

→ We talked to Gretchen and she says we've been bamboozled

 

→ For future reference, that can't do that

 

→ They can technically sell them, as long as the money gets back to us, which is still fishy

 

→ However, they sold them from $6 each and we don't know where they money went

 

→ Gretchen says she talked to the advisor and suggested a big meeting

 

→ In the meantime, we've decided not to approve anything

 

Brogan + Kevin

 

→ So what else are they going to do?

 

Grace + Skyler

 

→ Request from the General Fund

 

→ If they come back, it's not really responsible. We can't drain the general club on one club on just the 

 

first club of the school

 

Brogan

 

→ Can we pull up what they said they would spend their budget on?

 

→ Can we hold them responsible?

 

Grace

 

→ It's not reasonable to check that every time they request money

 

→ But in hindsight, I should have checked that for a $2000 request

 

Kevin

 

→ So today, we're going to write notes to our committee members! 

 

→ Encouragement!

 

→ Garrett already did him, Aurora is doing her's, Larry and Kevin will do Kush and Sarah's

 

Austin

 

→ Committee is planning ASG formal

 

→ It's gonna be fun

 

→ We're not doing WinterFest

 

(Larry just killed a bee, fyi. )

→ The formals come out of the Exec. Fund, which is about $5000

 

Austin

 

→ So where does my budget intersect with MEC, ASG, Exec, etc?

 

→ What if I want to hold additional events?

→ Go to Finance?

 

Grace

 

→ We can't vote on that stuff, because that's us voting money for ourselves

 

(Larry wants a mashed potato bar. Sloane wants bacon and chives.)

→ Don't let this alter your decision, but if it's then I can't go, swim meet

→ Thanksgiving break is really late this year

→ That's really early, but I can talk to my committee about it

→ We're going to establish directors of things in MEC, like subcommittees

 

→ Those will go in the bylaws and we'll bring it to ASG

→ We should probably do those soon

 

→ We should PR that more

 

→ Sloane, can you do a video of Garrett?

 

→ Remember, our next meeting is our meeting in the dark!

 

→ SA and EA both met with Cliff and he had very nice things to say about ASG

→ Kevin and I are going to trustee meetings this weekend
